Party Commissar: You walk out of the safely located bunker you have been assigned to for this occasion and look over the soldiers you have been given for this training exercise: Your forcesYour forces are light, however this is expected due to the situation you face; a small training exercise against an old classmate: Old classmate and objectivesFortunately, you have competent field commanders for your force, with Lt. Hypsicretea, Lt. Firefly, and Lt. Levodicus at your disposal you look upon the map with a feel of confidence, while inexperienced as you are. They have shown potential and will undoubtedly be of service. However, despite their specialized fields of training, they now have to make due with what they are given. When the company grows, you hope you can grant them the command that they will be most efficient in. But now, you have more immediate problems: Map and situationThe enemy you face is not the most exemplary of guardsmen you could imagine, however they are dug in and ready to receive attack. It is not only up to you to come up with a strategy for the offensive but for your subordinates to show aptitude in the tactics they choose for the situation. Feel free to discuss with them on how your company shall proceed. Either way, you know you must show an exemplary performance in the exercises ahead if you wish to reach the glory of real combat soon. Choose where your subordinates will be placed, form a plan of action. Whatever you do, ensure that it shall be successful.

Captain partycommissar, Lt. Firefly reporting for duty, sir! My two Steel Legion infantry squads and a Missile Launcher squad are ready to serve the Emperror! I intend to open fire with my Missile Launchers on the enemy position first, then approach with both Infantry squads and open fire from medium distance, outside of the range of enemy's pistols. In case they succed in eliminating the enemy complitely, I might order the Launchers to rush forward and capture the victory hex. That is a preliminary plan however - none of the squads shall move until the Captain approves the plan. Interogative: will the Sentinels on my flanks provide fire support? Their long range fire might be useful. Edit: If the Launcher are reassigned fo this mission, that's ok, we could just disregard my orders concerning them - the plan would remain the same.

Commander Postumus Cusher AKA: P.C.
Well it's finally time to put my training as an officer to the test. I'm just from a minor noble family, powerful enough to gain command of an army but not enough to guarantee my position, so I'll have to earn my position. Shouldn't be too hard to prove myself in these exercises, the opforce is lead by Commander Vanbar Jaxxon. He's.... Confident in his abilities to say the least. But arrogance won't help on the battlefield. Looking forward to wiping that Sneer he always seems to have off his face.
Recording end.
At ease, lieutenants. While this is a training exercise, we're going to take this seriously. While we'll be using non-lethal rounds to keep the death count low enough not to cripple our forces, we're going to treat this like we're in actual combat against real foes. As for assignments, some of you are going to have to make do with units that aren't exactly your specialty. For now Lt. Levodicus you'll be commanding our Sentinels for now. Lt. Hypsicretea I'm giving you our Missile troop for now. It's not much for the moment but we should get you some proper units soon enough. Lt. Firefly You'll be commanding the rest of the Infantry.
For orders, we're going to do this fast and hard. Levodicus you'll be scouting and supporting our infantry in their attacks, try to keep in range to help them out if you can. You'll have better range then our opponents so make sure you take advantage of that. Hypsicretea You'll be softening up our target but try to preserve your strength in case we run into armored units, you and the Sentinels will be responsible for dealing with those. Firefly, you'll be taking the objectives, try to time your attacks until after the other supporting elements have gotten off some attacks. You should be able to out range the Militia units as well, you have superior Equipment and numbers so they shouldn't slow you down too much. Keep the fight moving, We have all the advantages here so press the enemy hard.
I'll leave the details up to you, combat is an ever changing environment. You'll need to react to situations as they come up.
Alright people time to show Commissar Yarric what we're made of. The Emperor Protects.

-BZZZZT- Scouting duty ehh? Alright. We'll make sure no one joins the fight without invitation. -Tactics begin- So, ill move the sentinels up, out of range of the "rebels" and use my sentinels to attack if possible. I want them to march up, and around the enemy. So they can see the back of it as well. One group North, the other south. Hopefully out of range of the "rebels" with a large LOS to the behind. No one sneaks up on me... -tactics end-

Levodicus: Your own squad of sentinels moves north and identifies a squadron of Taurus fast assault vehicles and an enemy squadron of infantry with better ranged weaponry that that of the fortified enemy in front of the rest of the company. Lacking a shot on either, you order your squadron to open fire on the enemy infantry you are currently flanking. "downing" two of the enemy. Results The south squadron moves forward and notices another enemy Taurus squadron, seeing them as the bigger threat and with no direct orders to attack the infantry north of them, they open fire on the enemy vehicles from a safe distance, their lascannons knocking out three of the vehicles before they fully realize what hits them. Walker vs Taurus fightHypsicratea: Your missile platoon, with specific orders to fire upon the entrenched enemy do so, loading up frag missiles (training rounds of course) and firing a devastating volley, the enemy clearly did not expect getting hit on two sides this quickly, with that out of the way your unit moves south. Once again following their orders to the letter. Rocket salvo and infantry advance Fireflyboy: with the sounds of missiles and lascannons your platoon advances, sergeants yelling out orders from their voxes and battle cries echoing throughout the battlefield. A dramatic display for such a small target, but the enthusiasm of green recruits is something hard to cull without the visions of real war. 2nd platoon gives off covering fire while your own 1st platoon takes the objective. All sergeants report no casualties, the enemy were defeated and routed by the time your own platoon got there. Covering fireObjective secured, what next?Everyone: Jaxxon's men are caught in total shock, with so many "losses" procuring quickly the only unit capable of even moving are the remainders of the southern taurus squadron... But even then, they are too confused to even launch an effective counter fire. Enemy turnPartyCommissar: Your company's assault so far has worked perfectly. At this rate, you will secure victory quickly. What are your orders?

-Radio Crackles- Hah! Maybe i was wrong about you, Machine Spirit. -tactics- Southern Sentinels attack the injured vehicles. Continue forward regardless if completely destroyed or not. Northern sentinels, target the northern enemy vehicles, pull back from enemy infantry fire-range.
-edit from Hyps' post- If vehicle is destroyed before my sentinels move, move up to kill infantry from safe distance

Before the southern Sentinel moves or attacks, Missile Launcher squad is to move into the nearest city building and fire upon the Taurus in an attempt to destroy it and provide a path for the Sentinel to move through and continue scouting or attacking other units.

Move it, guarsmen! The objectives aren't gonna take themselves!
Both squads are to move along the road to the victory hex. The first to arrive takes the hex, the second tries to occupy an ajecent buildig, or stays on the road behind it. Fire priority - fire on enemy infantry first.
For the Emperror!

Levodicus and Hypsicratea: The lascannons of the sentinels begins charging up... Only for the taurus squadron to be knocked out anyway via krak missiles delivered at point blank range. Those who see the event may begin to question how safe this is when one of the taurus vehicles blows up after its fuel ignites. Mop upWith that threat out of the way, the sentinels proceed forward, looking for any other enemy forces that may be near. One of the walkers voxes in that he notices enemy troop movement on the other side of the mountains via the gap between them. Revealed enemy forces Unable to get a good aim on the "hidden" enemy, the sentinels opt to shoot the enemy infantry ahead of them. Without cover, these infantrymen are in a bad situation, with four of them being downed and the rest scrambling for cover. Fireflyboy: Even if you didn't give the order to advance, your company's recent victories plus your men's zeal means that they probably would have moved towards the next objective anyway. Luckily, the enemy seems to have abandoned defending the nearest position and are beginning to run for the hills. Your own platoon once again is in the thick of the fighting, and notices the enemy infantry that are pinned from the sentinels, your men waste no time in shooting them down as they scramble for cover. Like fish in a barrel Unfortunately, 2nd platoon is unable to reach the closest building to the front, however they still are moving towards it with insane confidence, yelling chants of victory as they sprint towards the structures, realizing that the enemy has just been caught completely defenseless and scattered and that they want a part in this glory, exercise or not. Everyone: Your assault is without a hitch, enemy units are caught squabbling among each other on what to do next, as pretty much all of the senior field officers present on the outer defense are downed and no longer considered part of the exercise. Those that can are running to the last objective, the "manufactorum" that has been set up for training maneuvers. Current Situation

ML squad should proceed to move around the south side of the mountains towards the next objective, attacking any enemy unit they are able to.

Keep pushing, Guardsmen! The first squad must rush forward aong the road to go around the rocks from the north and open fire on enemy's infantry from close range. This is certainly risky, but we need to draw the fire from those walking glass cannons called Sentinels. You are expendable, Sentinels are not! Menawhile, the second squad must continue their running exercise along the road. Right now, their only task is to finally reach the frontline. If the enemy Taurus somehow survives the turn - or should levodicus choose to keep his shot for a more decent target - they may finish it off.
