Hey there!
So, I have this idea and I have run this by Agrippa and he has approved of it. The point of this whole thing is to bring in more subs and spread the word around a little more, all whilst giving you people a little "incentive". The concept proceeds as such, Agrippa has connections in the video game industry and is more than likely able to procure some extra copies from his employers. The idea is to offer a few copies of the games in question to the people who are participating. The 1st place person would receive the best item in the bunch, the second would receive the second best item and so on. The goal is to bring in extra people and have them subscribe and comment on the video who brought them to the channel, these new people could even participate, bringing in even more people causing perhaps a slight snowball effect. As we have learned from past experiences, this sort of thing was very popular and brought it a fair number of people and it could well be done again! That is the general jist of it, if anyone has an idea of what else could be done or if something would work better, please feel free to say so! Thanks!

Its not the worst idea even if it sounds a bit too mercenary for my tastes.
If he wants greater viewer participation, I might have a few ideas, but if he's looking for solid view count then I believe it will heavily depend upon the games he plays, in relation to the audience he has already cultivated.

The one huge problem with this is that it relies on the new subs leaving a comment saying who brought them to the channel. This poses two problems:
The first being that one person could bring in a ton of new subs but if most of those subs don't leave the necessary comment, the recruiter does not get the proper credit.
The second is that someone could easily abuse this by creating a ton of fake accounts and using a proxy server to mask their IP, just so that they can get free games.
One thing that I think would help is to have more multiplayer videos where the subs participate in the match. I think a person would be more willing to share videos with other people if they are playing in it too. Maybe have a community match every Saturday where you do a 4v4 or 8v8 match (depending on the game) with a bunch of your subs. Record that match and name the subs participating in it and upload it to YouTube.
I also edited the thread title to make it more clear on the subject contained within.

Thanks so much for posting this Phex while my PC was undergoing maintenance. I really am open to any and all ideas people have to bring in a steady sub count. I like this idea very much but I also worry about what Hypsicratea is saying, people could easily just drop off quickly and post something and leave, or people could make duplicate accounts to win the prize. That being said I am pretty much out of ideas currently to attract any new subscribers. We're holding steady at about 150 new subscribers a month, if we could get that to 500-1000 that would be incredible. This is also why I started playing Fallout 4, with the hopes we might attract a more mainstream audience. Doesn't really seem to be working.
Best, Agrippa

150 new subs per month isn't bad at all.
As for mainstream stuff, I say what I always say when we talk about it: It wont work. You are going against people with tens of thousands of subs with those games.
You've got a strategy gaming fan base, build on it instead.
