Don't stop or we all die!
Nation Overview
As the nobles of Tien Chi battle for dominance, glory, and power; sages train in seclusion to reach new heights of magical and martial skill. The fore most path for these sages is the Way and the Five Elements. The Way is an easy and old path any sage can take for a variety of reasons ranging from simple piety to desire for immortality. The Five Elements are based on the concept of the five elements of the world being water, wind, earth, fire, and life itself. The Five elements are only taught in the Bamboo Grove a place revered and respected by all. Promising youngsters are brought there to be tested and should they prove worthy may become either a warrior or sage. The Way is far simpler although it does follow the Five Elements, some wonder at what the differences are but they are rather simple. The Five Elements are a high ideal of the Way but the Way's true goal is what lies beyond in the form of the magic of the heavens itself or "true magic" by those less enlightened. In particular the Way is bent towards water magic as it is formless and life giving a concept that matches the high ideals of the Way. Masters of the Way constantly push themselves to achieve further enlightenment and those few that are acknowledged go to the Celestial city to train and become Celestial masters whose knowledge in magic and the order of the heavens is beyond all others in Tien Chi. Now, sensing the danger of the coming war, Tien Chi is truly united for the first time in fear of what is to come. Whether the might of a now united Tien Chi will be enough to survive the coming storm and reach true ascension is one left to fate and the wisdom of their god.
