So, this is me...
37 years old, truck driver, Norway. That would be the basics to start off.
Ok, you need some more intel? Ok. I have completed 2 out of 3 years of studies for a computer engineer, but that is way in the past, and was not something that was right for me, so I worked some years as a cab driver, before going back to university where I took a bachelor in Archeology. However due to reforms made in Norway in the 90s, WAAAAAY too many people take the archeology exams, and you need atleast a doctorate to have any chance for a fixed job. So, I looked around to see what jobs were available, and truckers were in big demand at the time, so I took a loan and got my CE license (think that loan will be payed back this year actually, a mere 10 years later ). Most of my spare money tend to be divided in 3 chunks; boozing, computer games and books. The first part grows smaller every year, and the latter keeps growing to the extend that I no longer have a spare bedroom, but I do have a library
So, I started gaming some 30 years ago with the C64, then updated to a 286, then a 386, then a 486, then a Pentium, then a P2, and now I have no idea what they call the machines I use I used to understand computers back in the olden days when I fought off dinosaurs with a stick, and the OS was named Dos
When I first started gaming, it was arcade games, but when I got my 286, I discovered a game called "Civilization". And then before I knew it, two days had passed, my parents got back home from their weekend trip and was pissed that I had done nothing but game all weekend. From that moment on, I've been playing mostly strategy games and business tycoons (which, lets face it, are strategy games). Unlike most people I know, I do not know the name of the guy making the Metal Gear searies, nor do I excel at Modern Warfare, I will however kick all their sorry asses in most strategy games that are not RTS (jeez, I have to have time to smoke too^^).
My favorite games of all times would have to be Civilization (3, 1, 2, 5, 4 in that order), Colonization (the original one), Pirates! (the original one), Forge of Freedom, Crown of Glory, War in the East, War in the Pacific, Panzer General and Panzer Corps.
How did I stumble across Agrippa? Hmm, I only discovered the lets play thingy about a year ago, but at that time I was allready an ancient member over at Matrixgames, and searched for LPs of matrixgames games, and found this channel. Been following ever since, enjoying it immensly (yes, even when Agrippa makes some moves that frustrate the heck out of my inner gamer).
And yikes, never ment this to be such a wall of text, sorry about that.
